This guided bike tour starts at 9:00 at the Adventureshop office. Each rider will receive a bicycle or E-Bike and helmet to suit their size.The guide will carry a backpack for those who would like to buy wine en route.
The tour visits the historic highlights in Stellenbosch Town and then cycles further to the scenic Jonkershoek Valley where the mountains form part of a UNESCO World heritage site. A winding road through oak and poplar forests leads to Stark-Conde, a wine estate nestled in the valley bottom, here you can take in the stunning views while doing wine tasting of award winning wines.
On the way out of the valley, we will stop at the famous Lanzerac wine estate which sports beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. Here we will do a private cellar tour before we sit down for a Chocolate and Wine pairing that will make your taste buds tingle.
After the tasting we will head back into Stellenbosch Town via the famous Stellenbosch University before ending the tour at our offices.
There are some variations on this guided bike tour for varying levels of difficulty so the tour can be tailored to suit your cycling ability.
