Medicinal & other usefull plants talk and hike
For 1000’s of years, the various peoples who have roamed and settled the Cape, have made use of the Fynbos medicine cabinet & hardware store.
Let’s go out in the field to learn about which plants were good for chest ailments and bug bites, how you can make a strong rope using only your bare hands,
and which wood was used for the most stress-bearing parts of wagons.
The usefulness of fynbos for people continues today with the immensely valuable cut flower trade, our famous rooibos tea as well as increasing use in the perfume industry. Much new research is currently being done to ascertain the potential commercial value of various fynbos species.

Plant survival & regeneration techniques talk and hike
It runs against one’s intuition that nutrient poor soils, hot dry summers and frequent fires could produce one of the highest levels of species richness of any vegetation type in the world, but this is exactly what has happened on the small, south-western tip of South Africa.
Over the course of a relaxed guided hike, discover some of the truly fascinating and varied techniques that these plants employ to survive, whether it be simple but ingenious physical features or strange and complex interactions with animals.

Hike Jonkershoek to Mont Mari
Bring the family and traverse the Stellenbosch Mountain from the Jonkershoek Valley to Mont Marie. This 4 hour hike will lead straight up and over the Stellenbosch Mountain and down the other side, amazing King protea bushes and fantastic views of Jonkershoek, False Bay and Table Mountain await you at the top. lncludes picnic lunch.

Guided Cycle tour Stellenbosch
Visit the highlights in the historic part of Stellenbosch Town by bicycle. Learn about the origin and history of Stellenbosch and hear interesting stories that are part of our history and culture. We cycle through Stellenbosch and along the banks of the Eerste rivier while your guide will give you some interesting facts on fynbos and the Flora of the area. We will then cycle through the scenic Jonkershoek Valley and then stop at Lanzerac which sports beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. Relax a while with a coffee or juice at the Deli before we head back into Stellenbosch Town via the Stellenbosch University, ending at our office.

This unique E-Bike tour meanders through some of the best wine land scenery in South Africa. We cycle from Stellenbosch to Franschhoek on mostly jeep track and single track. Cross Cape Tour
Get a group of 4 or more friends together and enjoy the spectacular Cross Cape cycle route from Plettenberg Bay to Stellenbosch. Cycling between 60-90 km per day on gravel and jeep tracks and some tar roads.
All accommodation, back up vehicle and luggage services are arranged. All you need to do is to enjoy the cycle. It takes 11 days to do the whole route but sections of the route can be done depending on the amount of days you have available. Please contact us for a quote.
