2 Day West Coast Discoverer
With this weekend tour you experience the people, the sites and the food of the West Coast. Discover this off the beaten track area of South Africa by doing a hike in West Coast National Park, having a Seafood lunch on the beach,and visiting West Coast fossil Park and Khwa Ttu Cultural Centre where you learn more about the San culture.
Itinerary
Day 1:
We Depart Cape Town at 8:45 and take the West Coast road, leaving the busy city life behind us. Get ready to emerge into a relaxed, more simple way of life!!
Our first stop will be the West Coast National Park with its variety of antelope, tortoises and plant life. Here we will go on a 7 km hike and experience the West Coast Fauna and Flora first hand.
After the hike we will experience West Coast cuisine at it’s best! Sit with your toes in the sand while a 10 course buffet of Fish, mussels, seafood Paela, Snoek, home baked bread, and much more is served. Relax while local artist make music and you are welcome to join in if you can sing or play an instrument.
From here we will go to Jacobsbaai, our home for tonight to unload our bags before those who are keen on going on optional activities like Wind surfing, kayaking etc are taken to langebaan. Dinner on own account.

- Day 2
Get ready for some amazing info overload today! We depart Jacobsbaai to visit the quaint Fishing village of Paternoster before we start our West Coast Fossil Park tour at 11:00.
This park was made famous by the discovery of the first and only African Bear, dated to 5 million years ago. We will visit the most recent excavation sites and see how this process is done.
From here we will depart to another fantastic cultural experience, Khwa Ttu San Cultural centre! During a one and a half-hour tour the San will demonstrate their skills, share their ancient knowledge about oral history, tracking animals and identifying plants with you. They will also teach you words in some of their languages and enlighten you about recent achievements in obtaining their rights to land and intellectual property. From !Khwa Ttu we will depart back to Cape Town
