Sea Kayaking
Sea kayaking with Coastal Kayaks is about exploring the coast and experiencing marine life from a small, yet safe and stable craft. Seeing the whiskers on a seal, hearing a dolphin blow, feeling your skin tingle when a whale surfaces close by is what sea kayaking is all about. Sea kayaking gives you a different perspective of the land and a deeper understanding and appreciation of the ocean.
The trips along the Cape Penninsula are varied, from a relaxing 2 hour sunset trip near the Cape Town city centre to exciting kayaking around Cape Point, from encounters with penguins at Boulders Beach near Simonstown to encounters with Southern Right Whales, the endemic Heaviside Dolphins and also Dusky, Common and Bottlenose dolphins, Cape Fur Seals, African Penguin and a variety of other sea birds.
The West Coast offers varied sea kayaking conditions and encounters with up to three species of dolphins as well as playful seals from a number of seal colonies.
The Garden Route has varied options, from open sea along Robberg near Plettenberg Bay to the protected waters of the numerous lagoons and rivers
