Horse Riding
We offer Horse Riding in Stellenbosch and Paarl and longer trips like pony trekking in the Lesotho Mountains! Horses are available for all skill levels. It is a very unique way to discover the world from Horseback!
Stellenbosch Horse Rides
- Riding per hour and not booking a particular package R200 / hour / person
- Wine tasting tours on horse back:
- 1hr – 1hr30min ride including one wine tasting afterwards R250 / person
- 4hr horse tour including two wine tastings (incl. wine tasting time) R595 / person
- For below picnic packages we require a minimum of two people:
- 1hr – 1hr30min ride including a picnic afterwards at the wine farm R425 / person
- 1hr – 1hr30min ride including one wine tasting and a picnic afterwards R475 / person
- 4hr horse tour including a picnic and one wine tasting (incl. wine tasting and picnic time) R725 / person
- *Picnics exclude drinks
- We ride on the following wine farms on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Klapmuts: Delvera, Warwick, Remhoogte, Morgenhof, Knorhoek
- *Riding times will vary due to the level of experience of the riders, with a big group we usually only walk as most of the guests have never been on a horse or are very inexperienced. We cater for experienced riders too but prefer to take them in a separate group so as not to unsettle the nervous riders
- *Children from the age of 5 are welcome to join an outride
- *All levels of experience are welcome, complete novice (never been on a horse before) to experienced riders
- *The wine farms close at 5pm so if the clients want a picnic or wine tasting we must plan accordingly
- *Rides are payable in cash or EFT before departure
- *Riding helmets must be worn when riding, supplied by Equine Sport Centre
- *Indemnity forms must be signed before commencing the ride
